BJP suffered huge loss in Manipur, Congress won both the seats

Counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections is underway. Meanwhile, Congress candidates have won both the Lok Sabha seats in violence-hit Manipur. Angomcha Bimol Akoijam has won the Inner Manipur Lok Sabha seat. He has defeated BJP's Thounojam Basant Kumar Singh.At the same time, Congress candidate Alfred Kangam Arthur has defeated Kachui Timothy Jimik of Naga People's Front (NPF) in the Outer Manipur Lok Sabha seat.
