US Elections 2024: The US presidential election is to be held on November 5, after about 48 days American voters will vote to elect their next president. The results of the US presidential election will be very special because if Kamala Harris wins, America will get its first female president, whereas if Donald Trump wins, this will be his second term.

However, if we look at the surveys coming before the election results, then Democratic candidate Kamala Harris is far ahead of her rival Donald Trump. There have been two attempts to kill Trump in about 2 months. But no significant impact of this is seen in the US presidential election surveys.

Kamala Harris is getting 50% support

According to the New York Times, in the average national polling, Kamala Harris is 4 points ahead of former President Donald Trump. According to the New York Times, if the average of many surveys across the country is taken, Kamala Harris is seen getting the support of 50 percent of the voters, while Donald Trump has the support of 46 percent of the people.

In the national survey of ABC News/538 , Kamala Harris is ahead of Donald Trump, although the gap between the two is a little less here. While Harris is seen getting 48 percent votes, Trump has got 45 percent votes in this survey. Now that only one and a half months are left for the presidential election, the results of the survey are not a good sign for the Republican Party and Donald Trump.

One thousand potential voters took part in the latest survey of JL Partners and Daily Mail . This survey was conducted between 11 and 16 September. According to its results, Kamala Harris got 43 percent votes while Trump got 42 percent votes, although this gap is very small, which can be reduced in the coming days.

Harris leads in 6 out of 7 swing states

Kamala Harris, who joined the White House race on July 21, is getting 50 percent support in many surveys. Not only this, Kamala Harris is getting a lead in 6 out of 7 decisive swing states of America, which can become a cause of concern for the Republican Party.

Not only this, there is no good news for Trump from the swing states either, Kamala Harris is leading in 6 out of 7 swing states. Trump is ahead of Kamala Harris by one point only in Arizona, a state with just 11 electoral votes. Apart from this, Kamala Harris is leading in all the other swing states. Harris is ahead by 3 points in Wisconsin and 2 points in Nevada. Apart from this, Kamala Harris is getting a lead of one point in North Carolina, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia.

What will happen if the survey proves to be correct?

If these survey figures are converted into results, then Kamala Harris will easily win the majority in the election. 270 electoral colleges are required to win the US presidential election, so if the mood of the voters remains the same, then Kamala Harris will get 308 electoral college votes. On the other hand, if the polls are not successful in understanding the ground reality, then Trump can form the government for the second time.

Will Trump be able to repeat his 2016 performance?

Donald Trump, who was leading President Joe Biden in surveys during the initial campaign, has been falling behind since two weeks after Kamala Harris joined the race. Although Trump got one percent less votes than Hillary Clinton in 2016, he still managed to get the required 270 electoral votes. In fact, 6 swing states voted in favor of Trump, as a result, Hillary Clinton lost the election despite getting more votes in big states.

What is the Electoral College?

There are 538 electoral colleges in the 50 states of America, any candidate has to touch the magical figure of 270 to win the election. When voters in America cast their vote, they do not vote directly for any candidate but vote for a small group of representatives and officials formed in the states, this group is called the Electoral College. The support of these electoral colleges ensures the victory or defeat of a candidate.

But there are 38 states out of 50 in America which vote for a particular party every time, that is, their mood is fixed. But there are 12 states where there is a tough competition and their votes decide victory or defeat. In the 2024 presidential election, 7 out of these 12 states are considered decisive, they have 93 electoral votes which can be helpful in turning the election game.
