Sheikh Hasina's plane landed at Hindon airbase, may leave for London
New Delhi/Dhaka. Amid the violence in Bangladesh, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has left her residence and come to India. Hasina's helicopter landed at Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh on Monday evening. She is with her sister. From India, she may leave for London.
Sheikh Hasina came to India by helicopter
According to the report of news agency Reuters, Sheikh Hasina has come to India in a military helicopter. The protesters agitating against the government have demanded her resignation. After her departure, thousands of protesters attacked the PM's residence. Sheikh Hasina has resigned from the post of PM.
Bangladesh Army Chief addressed the nation
Bangladesh Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman has addressed the nation. He informed that PM Sheikh Hasina has resigned. We will form an interim government. The protest march was announced on Monday after more than 100 people were killed on Sunday. A large number of people took to the streets even after the curfew imposed across the country.
The Army chief was holding talks with leaders of various political parties, including the ruling Awami League and opposition BNP, and other stakeholders at the Army headquarters as protesters launched their "Long March to Dhaka".

Broadband internet restored in Bangladesh
Broadband internet has been restored in Bangladesh. A source said that a government agency gave verbal instructions to restore the internet at around 1:15 pm on Monday. No instructions have been given yet to restore mobile internet. No instructions have been given to restore social media platforms including Facebook.
