Went to Saudi for Umrah, tried to make him militant, travel agent arrested

A person named Ali Murtaza, who returned from Mecca (Saudi) in Meerut district of UP, alleged that efforts were being made to make him a militant during Umrah. This was being done by Javed of Saharanpur, who lives in Saudi. Ali Murtaza had also posted a video from Saudi and pleaded to save himself. Currently, on the complaint of his father, the police have registered a case against Javed and the travel agent and arrested the local agent.

Went to Mecca for Umrah on 26 March

Ali Murtaza, a resident of Kithor in Meerut, went to Mecca for Umrah on March 26 through a local travel agent. He had booked the Umrah trip from the local Abdullah Tour and Travel Agency. The family says that he was in regular contact for a few days but after April 2, there was a change in his communication. When he spoke to his wife Rukhsar for the last time on April 4, he said that he was very upset and would talk later.

After this, Ali Murtaza posted a video on his Facebook account and said that after reaching Saudi, Shahzad of Saharanpur living here confiscated his passport and refused to return it. He is being pressured to join a terrorist organization and is being forced to give statements. He is being emotionally pressured by citing issues like alleged atrocities on Muslims in India, CAA and NRC. He has appealed to the Prime Minister to help him get back to India as soon as possible.

Police said… the allegations will be investigated

In this case, the police has registered a case on the basis of the complaint given by Ali Murtaza's father. The agent who made the booking has also been arrested. The police says that after getting the passport, Ali Murtaza has returned to his home in Meerut, India. An investigation will be conducted on the basis of the allegations made.
