Amarnath Yatra 2024: The first batch of Amarnath pilgrims has reached Amarnath Kashmir Valley. All the pilgrims were transported to the valley amid tight security. Police and civil administration officials welcomed a large number of devotees at the Navyug Tunnel in Qazigund area. Today, from June 29, the pilgrims will have darshan of Baba Barfani. The first batch of pilgrims has been dispatched to the Amarnath cave. The 52-day pilgrimage will start from today from two routes. Pilgrims will be able to visit Baba Barfani from the traditional 48 km Nunwan-Pahalgam route in Anantnag and the 14 km Baltal route in Ganderbal. This yatra will end on August 19. Pilgrims will have darshan of Baba Barfani in the 3,880 meter high Amarnath cave.
Strong security arrangements
With the chants of 'Bam Bam Bhole' and 'Har Har Mahadev', all the devotees have left for the darshan of Baba Barfani. During this time, the administration is taking special care of the safety of the pilgrims. The safety of the pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir is the first priority of the administration. For the safety of the pilgrims, a three-tier security system has been arranged at the base camp. Apart from the base camp, CCTVs have been installed on the national highway for security.
Manoj Sinha had sent it off yesterday
The first batch of pilgrims for Amarnath Yatra 2024 was sent off from the base camp in Jammu and Kashmir yesterday. This batch was sent for Amarnath Darshan at 4 am today. The Yatra was flagged off by Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. Before flagging off, Manoj Sinha also worshiped the Lord. The pilgrims were sent to Pahalgam and Baltal from the camp located in Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu. During this, special care was taken for the safety of the pilgrims. Two thousand devotees have been sent in the first batch. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha wished the pilgrims a safe journey and said that Baba Amarnath should bring peace, happiness and prosperity in everyone's life.
