Bank Holiday 2024: The news of the closure of banks during January 2024 is important for all bank users. From January 7 to 28, banks will remain closed for 14 days, balanced by two-quarters of the week for various festivals and weekends.
Keeping this in mind, banking operations may be affected, but it has no impact on digital services. Online services will continue like UPI, mobile banking, and internet banking, but the focus should be on checkbook and passbook works. Customers can use online services during bank holidays.
RBI divides bank holidays into three categories, which include Holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act and Real Time Gross Settlement Holidays and Bank Closing of Accounts.
