Train Accident in Etawah: 19 Passengers Injured as Fire Breaks Out in Coach

A terrifying incident struck the Vaishali Express train traveling from Delhi to Saharsa in Bihar as a fire erupted in coach S-6 near Etawah, Uttar Pradesh. 19 passengers sustained injuries in the mishap, with several reported to be in critical condition. The injured have been admitted to the Safai Medical College for treatment.

According to initial reports, the fire started in the pantry car and quickly spread to sleeper coach S-6. Passengers jumped out of the affected coach to save their lives. Fortunately, there have been no reported fatalities so far.

The incident occurred around 2 AM. Many passengers were asleep, and due to limited space, several were awake when they got wind of the fire. Prompt action led to the evacuation of passengers, who were later hospitalized for injuries.

This incident comes in the wake of a similar fire in the New Delhi-Darbhanga Superfast Express last Wednesday, where several passengers were injured, and their belongings were charred in the blaze.
