Main accused of grenade attack on BJP leader's house in Jalandhar arrested in Delhi

The prime accused in the hand grenade blast case at BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia's residence in Jalandhar has been arrested from Delhi, Punjab police said on Saturday. They said Saidul Amin, a resident of Amroha in Uttar Pradesh, was arrested with the help of central agencies and Delhi police.
Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said in a post, "Achieving a major breakthrough in the Jalandhar grenade attack case, Jalandhar Commissionerate Police, in collaboration with central agencies and Delhi Police, has successfully arrested Saidul Amin (resident of Amroha, Uttar Pradesh) from Delhi." Yadav said Saidul Amin is the prime accused in the grenade attack on Kalia's residence.
“Further investigation is underway to ascertain the handlers, financial backers and possible foreign links involved in the attack,” the DGP said.
On April 7, some people hurled a grenade at Kalia's residence, shattering windows and damaging vehicles. No one was injured in the blast.
Police arrested two people in connection with the incident and said it was a conspiracy by Pakistan's spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang to create communal tension in Punjab. The e-rickshaw used in the crime has also been recovered.
