Arvinder Singh Lovely appointed as president of Delhi Congress Committee

New Delhi: Congress has announced the new president of Delhi. The party has now handed over this responsibility to Arvinder Singh Lovely in place of Anil Chaudhary.

In this regard, Congress also gave information on social media site X. INC Sandesh wrote in a post, Congress President has appointed Arvinder Singh Lovely as the President of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee with immediate effect.

A press release signed by KC Venugopal said that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has appointed Arvinder Singh Lovely as the President of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee with immediate effect. The party appreciates the efforts and contribution of the outgoing President Anil Chaudhary. Arvinder Singh Lovely has also been a minister in the government of former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit. In Sheila Dikshit’s government, he got the responsibility of Education and Transport Department.

In 2017, just before the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections, he had joined BJP but returned home to Congress before the last Lok Sabha elections. By giving command to Lovely, Congress has tried to woo the Sikh voters of Delhi. It is also important that Lovely is considered to be in favor of Congress’s alliance with Aam Aadmi Party.
