Indian Space Entrepreneurs Explore Collaborative Opportunities at Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre in Dubai
Dubai: A delegation led by the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe) recently concluded a fruitful visit to the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) in Dubai. Comprising Indian non-governmental entities (NGEs) specializing in various facets of space ecosystems, the delegation aimed to foster collaboration and exchange insights between the Indian and Emirati space sectors.
Conducted under the observer ship program, the diverse delegation showcased India's expertise in satellite and subsystems manufacturing, satellite payloads, earth observation applications, launch vehicle manufacturing, space situational awareness, and satellite earth stations.
The visit provided an opportunity for IN-SPACe to apprise MBRSC of recent space sector reforms announced by the Government of India, empowering the private sector to independently undertake all space activities. As an autonomous agency under the Department of Space, Government of India, IN-SPACe plays a pivotal role in promoting, guiding, and authorizing the space activities of NGEs.
Executives from MBRSC offered comprehensive briefings on their past and ongoing space programs, capabilities, and infrastructure for satellite construction and mission control. The MBRSC team expressed optimism, acknowledging the capabilities of Indian NGEs, and pledged to continue the dialogue for a mutually beneficial outcome.
Shri. K Kalimuthu, Consul (Economic, Trade & Commerce), extended gratitude and acknowledged the MBRSC team for dedicating time to engage in a productive dialogue with Indian NGEs. The visit further strengthens the collaborative bonds between India and the UAE in the dynamic realm of space exploration. The dialogue between the two nations holds promise for future joint ventures and advancements in space technology.
