New Delhi, Prof. M. P. Singh of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Central University, Lucknow, was honoured with the Pride Alumni Award 2026 at the 80th Annual Function of the Department of Library and Information Science, University of Delhi. The award was conferred in recognition of his outstanding academic, administrative, and institutional contributions in the field of Library and Information Science. Prof. Singh is also a distinguished alumnus of the University of Delhi.
The award was presented by His Excellency the Governor of Mizoram, General V. K. Singh; Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, University of Delhi, Professor Yogesh Singh; Distinguished Guest and Former Commissioner, Jhansi, IAS Dr. A. S. Pandey; Head of the Department Prof. K. P. Singh; along with other dignitaries present on the dais. The speakers on the occasion appreciated Prof. Singh’s contributions and described him as an inspiration for students and researchers. The event witnessed active participation from academicians, scholars, and students from across the country.
